Yearly studio cleanup and thanks to 2 members

During the yearly cleanup of our studio we were helped by two members of our association. It was unfortunate there were no more persons to help and thus we have not been able to do everything we had on our to-do list. Fortunately the fall break is coming. Then we shall look what we can do then. Coby and Anneke, on behalf of the board and the other members of our association you are gratefully thanked for your commitment.

On behalf of the board, Marij Wijnands.

Announcement: General Meeting of Members on September 21 at 1.30 PM

The General Meeting of Members is planned on Tuesday September 21 in the afternoon. At this meeting the budget for this last quarter of 2021 will be proposed.

The meeting starts at 1.30 PM.

The board of our association will create a protocol for attending this General Meeting during which the 1.5 meter rule will have to be obeyed. Both this protocol and the documents for the meeting will be sent to all members in week 36, i.e., the week from Monday September 6 until and including Friday September 11.

Please mark this date in your calendar.

With kind regards,
The Board

Pre-registration for a visit to the Lievendaal no longer required

Dear members,

From now on a visit to the Lievendaal does not require registering in advance anymore. Making coffee is also allowed again. However, the health check form must still be filled out. This form can be found in the Botenzaal (our painting space).

With kind regards, Marij Wijnands & Jan Maas.

Update on the Lievendaal centre

Jacques Feijen has informed us that we can use the studio again starting Monday May 31st, although under strict conditions. A maximum of 30 people may be in the building and presence of any persons must be registered in advance with him. Thus everyone can be warned in the event of an infection.

For us, this means that those who want to use the studio must register via email j.feijen11@chello.nl or report in time to apjwijnands@gmail.com. The people of the Monday morning group can send a message to aty.diemer@gmail.com. This registration procedure remains in effect until further notice. As most groups already have a WhatsApp group for their internal communication it might also be a good idea that one person of a group picks up the task of registering fellow group members with the Lievendaal.

The protocol that the Lievendaal has sent to us (and to other associations) says the following things:

  • reservation and registration (see above) is mandatory as well as a health check (in what form this check will be is not yet known; possibly a questionnaire).
  • Inside the building wearing a mouth cap is mandatory, but you can take it off if necessary to practice or to rehearse.
  • Making coffee or tea is not allowed: everyone must bring their own drink.
  • The catering area of the Lievendaal centre remains closed.
  • After using the toilet, you should clean the toilet with the paper towels provided and you should disinfect your hands with the gel from the bottles with handgel.
  • There is no holiday closure this year. The evening closure is at 10 p.m.
  • These measures have been imposed onto the Lievendaal by the government.

The new website is live!

Potlood en Penseel has a new and modern website! A lot of hard work has been done behind the scenes, especially by Marlein Rusch, daughter of our fellow member and webmaster Jurgen Rusch. Together they ensured that the new website was set live on 25 May. The website is user-friendly, mobile-friendly and suitable for tablets (like an iPad), and also has a link to the association's Facebook site. And, as you can see, an English version is also available, which is great for our non-Dutch readers. The old address of the website https://potloodenpenseel.dse.nl still exists, but now redirects directly to (this) new website.

On behalf of the Board,

Marij Wijnands.
